ITINERARY - 13 days / 12 nights

Day 1


Arrival to Quito. The historical Old Town of Quito boasts colourful markets, a rich colonial atmosphere.

Day 2

Galapagos Islands

Fly from Quito to the Galapagos Islands. In the Galapagos is greeted by the colourful birds, crabs and sea turtles of Bachas Beach. Keep an eye out for nesting frigate birds and their chicks.

Day 3

Santa Fe Island

Spot iguanas, cacti and sea birds on the tiny South Island before heading off to explore Santa Fe. Visit a sea lion bachelor pad and watch them play from the beach.

Day 4

Espanola Island

Espanola is the breeding site for nearly all of the world's 12,000 pairs of waved albatrosses and also home to colonies of blue-footed and masked boobies. Visit the white sandy beaches of Bahia Gardner.

Day 5

Floreana Island

Leave a letter to be collected from the 'post office barrel' just as mariners have done for centuries and watch flamingos strut their stuff on a beach of green sand. Snorkelling in Devil's Crown.

Day 6

Santa Cruz Island / Quito

Visit the Charles Darwin Station. Watch the frigate birds soar high above while blue-footed boobies dive for fish; a final Galapagos animal adventure. Return to Quito for a final look at Ecuador.

Days 7-8


Fly from Quito to Lima for the next part of your South American adventure. In Lima, get a feel for Peru's colonial past on a guided walk through the historic centre which is surrounded by churches, museums and streets of carved balconies.

Day 9


Possibly the most charming city in the Andes, Cusco overflows with Spanish colonial buildings and the remains of ancient temples. Take the opportunity to visit the former temple of the sun, Sacsayhuaman and Tambo Machay, a shrine dedicated to the forces of water. Peru hiking tours in Cuzco, visits to the local markets.

Day 10

Sacred Valley

Located between the towns of Pisac and Ollantaytambo. The valley was greatly treasured by the Incas because of its climate, fertile lands and the presence of the Urubamba or Sacred River.

Days 11-13

Inca Trail / Cusco

Follow the ancient paths of the Inca Empire as they wind past mountains, across high plateaus and through dense cloud forest and temple ruins. On the final day, watch the sunrise over awe-inspiring Machu Picchu before returning to Cusco in the afternoon. Return flight.
